A graduate from Shri. B.M. Patil Medical School in Bijapur, India Dr. Thomas did four years of psychiatric training at New Castle, United Kingdom. He completed psychiatric residency training at Harvard Medical School/Harvard South Shore Psychiatry Residency Training Program. Dr. Thomas also completed fellowships in Psychoanalysis from Boston Psychoanalytic Institute and Forensic Psychiatry at the University of Massachusetts. He is ex clinical faculty at Harvard Medical School and currently a clinical faculty at Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Thomas is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology in General Adult and Forensic Psychiatry. He works as an expert witness and independent medical examiner for the Committee of Public Counsel Services of Massachusetts. He provides second opinion on diagnosis and treatment of mental illness. During his psychiatry residency training he worked on Harvard psychopharmacology algorithm project on treatment of major depression. His special interest is treatment of depression and anxiety. He is trained in Trans-cranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) for treatment of depression. He is member of American Psychiatry Association, Massachusetts Psychiatric society, American Academy of Psychiatry & law and clinical TMS society.
